喜欢听民谣的朋友对她那把如矿泉水般清亮透彻又极富穿透力和感染力的美妙嗓音一定不会陌生。这位28岁来自于美国阿拉斯加，有着不俗美貌的创作型才女歌手，自从出道以来，一直把自己包裹在普通的T恤衫和牛仔裤中，背着箱琴，唱着民谣，被乐迷们称颂为“女鲍勃迪伦”。


推出专辑《This Way》，4年后，Jewel(人物，图库，唱片)完成在Atlantic唱片旗下的第五张专辑《0304》。此张专辑中，这位多白金唱片的歌手/词曲创作者显露新的音乐方向，这个方向源自于她对现代舞曲节奏和架构与日俱增的兴趣。虽然曲风、造型转变，但珠儿说：“别被新的珠儿给吓到，在我心中，我还是个诗人”。在珠儿新专辑14首歌曲蕴含的丰富节奏和旋律中，不变的是珠儿睿智的思想和无尽的人文关怀，其中的歌词，更是贴切单身女子的各种情绪。也成功地表现出Jewel惯有的风格与浓厚的文人辞彩。

SADE_ Somebody Already Broke My Heart
　
ade：Shar-day。为Sade出版她的第一张专辑的唱片公司Epic特别在唱片封套上她的名字后面加上这样的注音。她的全名是Helen Folasade Adu。而Sade又并非只代表一个人，它是一个以主唱"Sade"命名的乐队的名字。

尼日利亚：Sade1959年1月16日出生于尼日利亚的易巴丹，父亲是尼日利亚人，母亲是英国人。4岁时她父母离异，之后她随母亲生活，在英国艾塞克斯郡的克尔切斯特长大。

Pride：当一位叫Lee Barrett的唱片经纪人邀请Sade去伦敦的一个正在组建的乐队担任主唱时，Sade欣然接受了。这支乐队名叫Pride，是80年代早期的一支拉丁Funk乐队。Sade音色饱满，技巧纯熟且词曲都能，很快成为乐队的灵魂人物。这期间Sade展现出出众的歌曲创作能力--写下了她最早的成名单曲"Smooth Operator"（老练的行家）。随即她退出Pride，走上了单飞的道路，与她一同离队的还有Stuart Matthewman（萨克斯），Andrew Hale（键盘），Paul Spencer Denman(贝斯)，这几个人成了Sade的班底。

Sophisti-pop：这是Sade一贯坚持的风格。柔滑，平和，充满爵士味的pop，活跃于20世纪80年代。除了爵士，Sophisti-pop艺人们还引进了轻快的pop-soul风格，使用音响合成器来让音乐更饱满平滑。虽然这一流派在90年代初就已经渐渐销声匿迹，但Sade却依然故我，在她消失歌坛8年复出后的《Lovers Rock》中可以感觉出Sophisti-pop已经融进了Sade的所有旋律和血液中。

Love：贯穿Sade所有音乐作品的不变主题。从第一张专辑里的"Your Love King"，"Hang on to Your Love"，到1988年的"Love is stronger than Pride"到1992年的"No ordinary love"到2000年的格莱美最佳流行大碟《Lovers Rock》，Sade的音乐从来都不缺乏漫溢的情感和温暖的爱意。与其说Sade是依靠着新潮的表现方式烘托她的音乐，还不如说她是凭借着歌曲在表层柔情下的镌永内涵而让人深深吸引。她的音乐是温暖的，柔软的，可以让耳朵，灵魂抚慰的。听Sade的音乐，就像和最忠贞的情人恋爱，你有完全的安全感，你知道你是不会被抛弃的，他（她）永远会By Your Side。
