    1995年Club 8正式成立于瑞典，由女主唱的Karolina Komstedt（来自Poprace乐队）,和负责所有歌曲创作和乐器演

奏的Johan Angerg?rd (来自Acid House Kings, Poprace乐队)，并很快与西班牙的清新独立厂牌Siesta签约，并在旗下

发表了单曲《Me too》和专辑《Nouvelle》。离开Siesta之后，Club 8选择了DIY的自主之路，自行制作唱片，然后交由

不同的唱片公司发行，因为这样的方式可以直抒真我情怀。此时，他们的音乐被归类为Anorak Pop，并深受传奇独立厂牌

Sarah旗下的乐队、Jim Ruiz以及the Smiths的影响。
    他们的第二张专辑《The friend I once had》和单曲《Missing you》分别于1998年和1999年发表。《Missing you

》在西班牙迅速成为风靡酒吧和电台的金曲，同时在美国的校园电台里也成为颇受欢迎的曲目。这时候Club 8开始了他们

的现场演出，他们的首次登台亮相是在1999年的March Records CMJ 活动，当时Club 8的音乐已带有Bossa Nova的味道，

并趋向于舞曲风格。
    随后Club 8在音乐上力求推陈出新，并不断的突破自我。在2001年的第三张专辑上，Club 8再次改变了他们的音乐取

向。这张同名专辑《Club 8》是一张非常耐听的经典唱片，尽管在最初发表时曾被评论界拿他们与Portishead和Air相互

比较，并将这张唱片定义为所谓的Trip-Hop专集，尽管它听来更像一张Chill Out唱片。
    在发表了同名专辑《Club 8》之后，2001年的秋天，Club 8将自己封闭在著名的Summersound Studios里潜心创作，

并开始尝试不同的音色和风格。Dub、C-86、Trip-Hop、Chill Out、80年代风格、以及Bossa Nova在这里相得益彰,而且

也没有失去美妙的斯堪迪纳维亚风情，以及Club 8独有的忧郁气质和流行旋律。这张专辑定名为《Spring came,rain

fell》，并于2002年年初正式发表。
    2002年下半年，Club 8开始了新专辑的创作。这次他们更加靠近听众的需要，更注重音乐的主题。专辑的整体基调趋

于温暖柔和，原音乐器的广泛采用让他们的音乐更加民谣化，确切的说就是更加感性了。这就是他们于2003年春天发表的

第四张专辑《Strangely Beautiful》，当然，这也是迄今为止Club 8最为成功的唱片。这张专辑在2003美国CMJ排行榜上

名列第18位。
    自从1999年Club 8首次发表单曲和专辑里的音乐录影带之后，收录了五首单曲的EP《Saturday night engine》 也于

2003年春天发表。而单曲《Saturday night engine》的音乐录影带也在MTV Nordic排行榜上位居第16位。
    在两年内马不停蹄的发表了三张专辑和两张EP之后，Club 8决定放慢步伐，我们需要耐心的期待他们的下一张唱片了

，或许Club 8可以给我们更大的惊喜。

    这张与先前略有羞涩的Club 8完全不同的气质，音乐上也理所应当的比《me too》更加成熟，而全部10首作品当然也

蕴涵了更加丰富的感情。有《Blue skies》里让人羡慕的晴朗心情；《Don't be gone》的伤感以及《Breakdown》的脆弱

；《She never calls me》小男生样的自做多情；恋爱中的小脾气《Loveaffair》；周末的午后温暖的阳光，来杯无声的

《Sunday afternoon》感觉一定不错；Club 8自身味道浓烈的《All dressed up and shy》，以及清爽悦耳的经典之作《

Look out》。
    siesta自豪的宣称这张唱片是张绝对算的上永恒经典的唱片虽说有夸口的嫌疑，但这张唱片确实秉承了瑞典音乐向来

空幻生动的迷人气质，借由这张唱片，Club 8完全有理由与Cardigans，Cinnamon, 以及当时同在siesta门下的Red

Sleeping Beauty一同记录进瑞典独立音乐值得骄傲的历史。

    这张EP分为1998年发行的Labrador版本和1999年发行的“March”版。相比较起来Labrador版的作品比较少，只有三

首，其中包括《missing you》的电台版本和remix版，以及《the friend I once had》。作为Labrador早期的作品，这

张EP的收藏意义已经远远大于聆听价值，况且missing you的N个版本都不难听，只是这样电子化的Club 8来的多少让人有

些措手不及。
    踏着bossa nova回归的club8确实更能让人接受一些，甚至更加清爽宜人。于是有了《everlasting love》的自然欢

快，有了《the end of the affair》灵动跳脱，更多电子音色的使用使Club 8更加空幻迷人，鼓的编配也不在像第一张

专集里那样单调...不过细心的朋友肯定也发现了一个问题，johan在这张唱片中没有参与任何演唱的部分。虽说女声

karolina的声音已经足够迷人，但是没有johan露面的Club 8感觉多少还是缺了点什么，算是这张精彩的唱片中唯一的不

足吧。

    除Club 8本身所在的厂牌Labrador在瑞典本国发行外，西班牙的Green UFOs，英国的Stereo Test Kit，美国的

Parasol Records，以及日本的Flavour of Sound四大厂牌争相与Labrador合作争求这张Club 8同名专集在各自国内的代

理发行，甚至西班牙的另一个厂牌Mushroom Pillow在专集发行的次年也就是2002年又在本国发行了一张《Love in

December》的EP才算赶上Club 8风靡欧洲浪潮的末班车。而追逐众多版本的Bonus track更是让众Club 8的fans乐此不疲

。
    曾几何时，《Love in December》竟成为Club 8的标志曲目，甚至在中国，通过互连网可以随意搜索到N个有关这首

歌的情感记录，对于许多人来说，《love in December》也不仅仅是符号那么简单，更多的都成为了记忆深处某种情节的

寄托。其实整张专集的所有作品都拥有跟《love in December》相似的属性，因为当时Club 8受Portishead和Air影响正

深,并且巧妙的借鉴了trip-hop的阴冷气质与法国温情电子的浪漫情怀，而karolina的声音在这张唱片里也显的比前作更

加寒气逼人，所以整张专集其实可以说是对于之前两张专集：《Nouvelle》的温情与《the friend I once had》的灵巧

的成功积累，并且勇敢的把在音乐上新的想法容入到其中。当然事实也证明，Club 8的勇敢为自身取得了更大的成功以及

发展机会。
    对于这张圣经般经典的专集，无须肢解下每首曲目充满匠心的分析，因为这些对于CD的转动都是毫无意义的，重要的

    “What shall we do next”里拨片与琴弦清脆有力的摩擦声才正是Club 8最纯正的味道，“When lights go out”

合成器烘托出的宏大气势急转直下后的分解和弦也正是Club 8最可爱的地方。“between waking and sleeping”里飘忽

的吉他沉醉于半梦半醒间的恍惚。“cold hearts”是否让你想起那张《Club 8》里的作品？寂静的钢琴在某个早上发出

声音，听着Jahon日渐迷人的磁性嗓音，“this is the morning”尝试的是于以往不同的叙述方式。当然不同的还有曾经

收录在上一张EP中的一首“Saturday night engine”，这首乐队化配器的作品无疑是Club8目前为止最有力量的一首，当

然也是所有专集里最不“Club 8”的一首。
    Labrador官方的定义是：这是一张漂亮温暖的专集。我想这个形容再确切不过。也许你会嫌整张专集过于温暖以至平

庸，没有在听觉记忆中留下什么深刻的印象，也许你更爱《Nouvelle》的纯真率直，或者《The friend I once had》的

顽皮跳脱，或者《Club 8》的灵气十足，或者《Spring came, rain fell》的质朴回归，但是这张《strangely

beautiful》无疑是比之前所有专集更纯真，更质朴，更富灵气，更加成熟的一张唱片。
    或者说只有当你倾心聆听这张唱片的时候，你才会和现在的Club 8在心灵上离的更近些。
