Bentley Explorer 2004 Edition enables a user to interactively review complex 3D models. The high performance visualization engine of Explorer allows near real-time walkthrough of very large shaded plant models. Explorer supports the review of both DGN and DWG model files as well as other common 3D model formats. Through the use of optional Add-in modules, the functionality of Explorer can be extended to include interference detection, creation of photorealistic images and the publishing of NWD model review files.

Licensed Applications include:


Bentley Explorer - the core module of the design / review solution delivers interactive visualization and real time walkthrough of simple and complex 3D models.


Bentley Explorer Interference Detection Add-in - enables the user to quickly locate, review and manage both hard and clearance clashes in simple and complex geometry.


Bentley Explorer NWD Export Add-in - enables the designer to export large files in compressed and secure .nwd format for full collaborative review of model data independent of the native design software.


Explorer Photorealism Add-in - is a high-end visualization tool for creating both still and animated renderings of complex 3D models. Includes sophisticated texture mapping, materials and lighting for photorealistic output.

Bentley Explorer is the core module and must be licensed and resident on the user system. Each Add-in is licensed independently
