Software Engineer/Developer Consultant in Bei Jing
As a member of the Developer Technical Services (DevTech) group, part of company Consulting, the Developer Consultant will deliver direct application programming support and evangelism to developers of third-party applications, based on company products, who are part of the company Developer Network (ADN) program. The successful applicant will have a good grounding in C++ and object-oriented techniques, and show an aptitude for learning and problem solving. The role will develop to include evangelising company’s APIs to ADN members through conference presentations, webcasts and training classes.
Based in Beijing, the Developer Consultant will interact with other DevTech team members from around the world, and with ADN partners via phone, e-mail, and onsite training or consulting visits. Some interaction with company’s product R&D function may also be required for evaluating and influencing new product releases. This position will develop to include participating in technical marketing events to evangelise Autodesk’s products and educate the ADN membership on new product features.
Requirements for this position include the following:
• Three years experience of C/C++ using MFC and Visual Studio development tools in a Windows environment.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design and programming concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to quickly learn new technology and techniques.
• Fluent in English with good written and oral communications skills.
• Good customer facing skills and customer service orientation.
• Ability to work with remote colleagues as part of an extended team.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment under the pressures of project deadlines.
• Domain knowledge of an Engineering discipline (especially Architecture) or General Design is preferred.
• Prior experience of developing add-in applications for AutoCAD using ObjectARX or for Autodesk’s building solutions is preferred. |
